There you have it!

Kjære alle sammen!
I love being a missionary. I am not going to lie, it is hard work. But is is work for the Lord, and so it is work that you can love. :)
This week we did something new! It was sister Leland's idea. She is a greenie with a ton of energy, which is really nice to be around on the days that we are together in a trio. She gives my companion a lot of strength and encouragement. Anyway! Her idea was that we draw that plan of salvation out on the sidewalk and walk through it with people. So we did! It was fun to be able to tell people that what we were doing was drawing their life out. :) I personally walked through with 2 girls that are probably 17 or so. They were actually interested, and they already have a belief in God. Major score!!! We will meet with these cute girls on tuesday. :)
Sometimes to proselyte, we will take a bus somewhere and talk to people on the bus and at bus stops. We did that this past week, and I talked to a young man. I told him about the book of mormon and read a little bit about faith with him. He agreed with it, and I asked if there was a day we could meet up and give him his own copy. He said yeah! We met on wednesday night, and I am not quite sure what will come of it, because we only had like 5 minutes to talk and there was some norwegian band having a free concert where we met up, bottom line is, this kid has a book of mormon now. I love sharing this book and my testimony of it. I hope he will take it and begin to read and that we can meet with him again.
miracle story! We were out street contacting one day. it was beautiful! The sun was shining, and I actually forgot how beautiful the world is when the sun is out! Anyway, the sun is shining, people are out, and seems like the perfect set-up to find a family to teach. (that had been our specific prayer before we went out- to find a family to teach) however, everyone said no to us. :( we were a little bummed. and then our appointment didn't show up so that was a double bummer. We get on the bus to go try some bonk backs, and start talking to this lady. she is interested and asking us questions! We asked if we could come and share our message with her sometime this week and she said yes, and what do you know, she is a mother of 2. There you have it- a family, just what we had prayed for!
I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to be working for God. I feel real joy in this work. Real joy in seeing what is important and helping other people see that as well. The savior Lives. I felt his love stongly this morning, and I know that through Him we can be clean and experience true joy. I am so thankful for my faith and knowledge and opportunity to share it. this life is beautiful.

Thank you for all of your love and support. It is needed and cherished. Continue to build your faith in Christ everyday and you will find joy.
Love,
Søster Stephanie Joy
