Asker is Still the Dream

Kjære alle sammen,
Wow! Transfer calls came and Sister Wood and I are both staying in Asker. I know we are going to see some amazing things happen here! One of them happened just on Saturday with a man named Beto.
We were walking down by the fjord in Sandvika- looking for people the Lord has prepared when we ran into Beto. We said we had a message about Christ and he said, "okay, should we sit down?" Well yes Beto, yes we should. :) So we sat down there by the water and gave him the whole first lesson and made an appointment to meet with him. We met with him yesterday, and gave  him a book of mormon in Spanish (He is from Peru). Amazing guy! He is sincerely searching for the truth. Truth-seekers are the best kind of people to teach. Those people that identify themselves as investigators.
The Lord has really blessed us with some more people to teach this week, which we are extremely grateful for. His hand is so evident in this work. We began to teach this guy named Michael- who has had some strange visions... and another lady from Africa that was taught by missionaries 6 months ago. This work is exciting!
One thing that is funny. One time Sister Wood and I were talking to a guy and he wasn't really very interested. Right before we left to keep walking, a bird pooped right on his shirt! A sign from God that he should have listened to us? It just might have been. :)
Things are well in this neck of the woods. One advice I would give to the members that are wondering what they can do to help with missionary work- give referrals to the missionaries! A referral does not have to be a non-member. It is an opportunity for the missionaries to teach. Refer less active members to the missionaries and give them information about them. Refer families that are going through a hard time that could us a visit- refer part member families. Just give them the "in" on your ward and the people in it, because they probably don't know that much!
I know that the Lord hears my prayers. He hears yours as well. Talk to and counsel with him sincerely every day, and you will see blessings beyond compare.
I love you all!
Mvh,
Søster Williams
